Current Youth Program Initiative
Connecting Compton—founded in 2019—was established with a mission to create a safe, inclusive space in the heart of Compton where individuals of all ages and cultural backgrounds can experience unity, belonging, and pride.
At the core of this mission is the development of the Compton Multi-Cultural Equestrian Center, a transformative hub that will enrich lives through therapeutic horseback riding and equine-assisted activities. Designed to support children, adults, and veterans with cognitive, physical, and emotional disabilities, the center will also serve as an engaging space for youth and community members interested in learning about the equestrian lifestyle.
By offering safe, educational environments, Connecting Compton empowers local youth to grow into skilled, responsible citizens while celebrating and preserving the diverse cultural heritage of our city.
Backed by a team with deep experience in education and leadership, Connecting Compton is driven by a shared passion for community, inclusion, and opportunity. Their vision is to create a lasting space where the traditions of agriculture and horsemanship thrive—opening doors for future generations and honoring Compton’s rich legacy.
